RECPDCL In CSR Activities

As a Corporate Social Responsibility the RECPDCL

has set up a 'Computer Section' in an Adibasi Public School at Village Rukka, district Ranchi, Jharkhand at the cost of about Rs.2 lacs. This village is 35 Km away from Ranchi. The School is run by the Management of VISHWA JAGRATI MISSION. At present the School is upto 7th Standard. There are 220 students in the School and it is run free of any charges. Mid-day meals are also serviced by the Mission. The children are mostly from the families of Naxalite infested areas of Jharkhand.


RECPDCL In Sustainable Development Projects

RECPDCL spent a sum of Rs.2.02 lacs on Sustainable Development Project for the year 2011-12. Under this Project, the Company sponsored 150 Solar Lanterns in three villages e.g. Chitalpata, Dangapata of Madanpur-Rampur Block and Ekatara of Karlamunda Block of Kalahandi district in Orissa. These lanterns benefitted 750 lives. The Project has been implemented with the help of TERI.


RECPDCL signs MOU for the Financial Year 2012-13 with REC Ltd.

REC Power Distribution Company Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Ltd. Signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the financial year 2012-13 with Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd., a Navaratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power. The MOU was signed on 30th March, 2012, by Shri P.J. Thakkar, Director (Technical), RECL and Shri S.K. Lohani, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, RECPDCL in the presence of Shri Rajiv Sharma, Chairman, REC Ltd. Senior Officers of REC Ltd. and RECPDCL were present on the occasion.
